I and two friends, all bought this mixer at the same time two years ago. I use mine about once a week for one of two pancake batter, bread or biscuits and my friends did similar things. All three of our mixers are dead with burn-out engines. Mine is dead while stirring the eggs.
Some people who have written seem to have luck with these mixers, but I do not know anyone.

The Kitchen Aid mixer works fine, but the 'pot is not' big enough and the cover / loss glass insert. Fill the pot about 1/4-1/3 full use of the "liquefy" speed possible without overfilling. leaks and the use of glass and rubber cap design facilitates the loss. the option of using the seal on the lid, but this is a permanent move. The glass must be more than 12-18 ounces for proper use . Speed of 4-5 can not be used if the glass is more than 1 / 2 full.
Overall, the mixer is acceptable. There is a large mixer on the market, but more expensive and failure.
I knew that the glass was less than desired, but it was the largest that I have found to be evaluated.
